Pete the Pea has left his pod in Hudson, NY to embark upon the journey of a lifetime! He will accompany me in my studies of religion in Berlin. Every new experience and landmark we come across will be documented here. Although Berlin is our main destination for the next 4 months, we hope to make it to many other places in Europe as well. We don't know what great things await us or what challenges lie ahead but we are very excited to share them all with you! Not to mention how incredibly grateful we are that you are checking in on Pete, one pea out of the many on earth.

Easter

After our two long day, we decided that we would spent Easter in our place just hanging out. Lucky for us, the Easter bunny came!
And fancy that, the table was shaped like an egg!
I ended up having to go out because I lost my bus ticket back. Thanks to a very generous person on couch surfing, my bus ticket was printed and all i had to do was meet up with him in central station. I couldn't help snapping a picture of this adorable H & M ad on the way.

When Yusuf came, he said that he would show me around a little bit. I was stoked!

Cool restaurant signs. There were also a lot of clocks around.
Yusuf! He showed me around for 2 hours. We walked and walked. He took me to his go to Döner place. He insisted on paying because I was the guest. I couldn't believe that a stranger just bought my dinner. When we parted ways he said, "See you somewhere in the world!" How cool!
Back home I went were Gina was freaking out because I had been gone so long.

I had a Döner for Easter dinner, paid for by the most pleasant stranger. Well now I would call him a friend. 

Life is so cool.
